To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the uptake of the Springboard courses in 2013 and to date in 2014 by course and institution; when the new course topics will be decided for the next intake; and if consideration may be given to widening the eligibility requirements for Springboard. A new Call for Springboard 2015 will issue in early 2015. The call will be accompanied by a guidance document prepared by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs (EGFSN) on current and future skills needs of enterprise. The selection of proposals for funding under Springboard 2015 will be determined by an independent selection panel having regard to published criteria.
There are no plans at present to widen the eligibility criteria for Springboard.
