To ask the Minister for Education and Skills in respect of the outstanding 45 cases relating to allegations of sexual abuse in day schools, if the State Claims Agency has made recommendations on the State response on foot of a European Court decision (details supplied); and if so, when she intends to bring proposals to Cabinet in this regard. My Department is currently considering the review of day school abuse cases undertaken by the State Claims Agency, in consultation with the Office of the Attorney General and the State Claims Agency.
I expect to be reporting back to Government in the coming weeks on this matter.
