For the Deputy's information, comprehensive information on all appointments to the Boards of non-commercial bodies under the aegis of my Department can be viewed on the Department's website at . In accordance with Government policy, expressions of interest are sought through the Public Appointments Service (PAS) from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for consideration when making appointments to the Boards of bodies operating under the aegis of my Department.

It should be noted that Board appointments are not in all cases made at the sole discretion of the Minister. Individuals may be nominated for appointment by various organisations as specified in the relevant statute of the body concerned.

Since 2011, 77 positions have been advertised on the PAS for which direct Ministerial appointments could be made.
