To ask the Taoiseach to set out the number of public servants and semi-State employees in his Department on career break at the time of the Haddington Road agreement who lost their right to return to their old position; of these, the number who have since been offered redeployment opportunities; the number who availed of suitable redeployment opportunities; the number who terminated their employment; the number who have been accommodated with supernumerary positions after being on redeployment lists of over one year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Two officers who were on career break from my Department at the time of the Haddington Road Agreement sought to return to work.
Both officers were offered and accepted suitable redeployment opportunities within the civil service.
