To ask the Minister for Health the number of patients who had a subarachnoid haemorrhage in each year 2011 to 2013 and to date in 2014 requiring neurosurgical or endovascular treatments who were not transferred to a neurosurgical centre in either Cork or Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, due to issues of capacity; the outcome, morbidity/mortality, for those patients; the steps being taken to ensure that all patients requiring neurosurgical or endovascular treatments in a specialist centre will be able to avail of it; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
