Agriculture Schemes Payments

496. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total amount of funding provided this year for the following payments, including EU and exchequer funding; single farm payment, disadvantaged area payment, REPs, AEOS, genomics scheme, beef technology, dairy discussion groups and any other scheme of current payment to farmers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The total exchequer funding provided by my Department to farmers in 2014 is €569.78 million comprising €439.62 million current and €130.16 million capital spending. In addition to voted expenditure the estimated 100% direct EU funded payments amount to €1.2 billion. The 100% EU funded schemes are provided for on an EU Agriculture financial year basis which starts on the 16thOctober each year. The EU figure provided shows an estimate for the 2014 calendar year which combines part of 2014 and 2015 EU years.
