Garda Deployment

To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if she will provide in tabular form the number of gardaí stationed in Counties Roscommon and Leitrim by station in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014; the number of Garda cars attached to those stations in those years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will appreciate, the Garda Commissioner is responsible for the distribution of resources, including personnel and vehicles, among the Garda Regions, Divisions and Districts. Garda management keep this distribution under continuing review in the context of crime trends and policing priorities so as to ensure that the best possible use is made of these resources.
I have been informed by the Garda Commissioner that on the 31 December 2011, 2012, 2013 and on the 31 May 2014, the latest date for which figures are readily available, the personnel strength of each station in the Roscommon/Longford Division and Sligo/Leitrim Division was as set out in the table attached.
