The person named was approved for participation in the Agri-Environment Options Scheme (AEOS 3) with effect from 1 May 2013.

Under the EU Regulations governing the Scheme and other area-based payment schemes, a comprehensive administrative check, including cross-checks with the Land Parcel Identification System, must be completed before any payment can issue. Following this checking process on the application of the person named, the Tree Planting Whips action was found to be ineligible under the Terms and Conditions of the Scheme. Without this action the basic eligibility requirements had not been met and the application was terminated. A letter issued to the person named on 9 June 2014 setting out this decision and providing the option to submit an appeal. To date, there is no record on an appeal having been received by officials in my Department.
