To ask the Minister for Social Protection the degree to which applications for various forms of assistance or allowance including jobseeker's allowance from the self-employed continue to be processed by her Department; the number of such applications that have been successful in each of the past five years to date; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The total number of claims registered and awarded in each of the past five years to date is set out in the following tabular statement. Claims from self-employed persons are not segregated from other claimants for reporting purposes.
