294. To ask the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the annual saving to the Exchequer if the pay of all ministerial special advisers was capped in his Department at the first point of the principal officer grade. [30905/14]

An annual saving of €6,029 at current rates would accrue to my Department if a pay cap were to be applied of the nature outlined by the Deputy.
