648. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if it is possible for an Irish national to hold dual Hungarian and Irish citizenship and for a Hungarian national to hold dual Hungarian and Irish citizenship; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [29653/14]

Under Irish law it is possible for an Irish national to hold dual Hungarian and Irish citizenship. The acquisition of Irish citizenship is not contingent on the renunciation of the citizenship of another jurisdiction.
