328. To ask the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht further to Parliamentary Question No. 136 of 12 June 2014 if the works referred to could be carried out immediately due to the poor condition of the roads involved and the high volume of persons expected to use them in the coming months; if this could be done without too much disruption; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware, I have allocated some €100,000 this year for the purpose of continuing the programme of road maintenance works referred to. The works will be carried out as soon as is reasonably possible, having regard to necessary procurement procedures and the need to carefully arrange the works in order to minimise disruption to the many visitors to this location at this time of year.
