To ask the Minister for Social Protection if any portion of rent allowance is payable in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who is separated and received a settlement in lieu of their entitlement to the family home; if rent support will be offered prior to the exhaustion of that settlement; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The client concerned has not made an application for rent supplement to the Department. In order for the client to receive an informed decision, all pertaining information regarding the application must be sent to the Mid Leinster Rents Unit, PO Box 11758, Dublin 24. A rent supplement booklet has been posted to her in order to facilitate the application. A decision on eligibility can be made when all information is forwarded.
