To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he is satisfied that certificate of professional competence, CPC, courses for professional drivers are relevant or useful to those taking them; and his plans to reform the model in operation, possibly by adding an on-the-road element to the course curriculum. The operation of the Certificate of Professional Competence regime is a matter for the Road Safety Authority. I have therefore forwarded the question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
