The position is that my Department allocates recurrent funding to the Higher Education Authority (HEA) for direct disbursement to the HEA institutions, including the Universities and Institutes of Technology. It is then a matter for the institution to determine how this funding is allocated internally. It is an institution's responsibility, as an autonomous body, to ensure that its academic course content is in order and has the appropriate validation.
