272. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide an update on the review of the new national driving licence service that took place over the past two weeks (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18408/14]

The operation of the National Driver Licensing Service (NDLS) is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority (RSA).  I have no role in the internal operations of the NDLS, and the review in question was a matter for the RSA.  I have therefore referred the question to the RSA for direct reply.  I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.

The operation of the National Driver Licensing Service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority, and I have no role in choosing office locations.  I have therefore forwarded this question to the Authority for direct reply.  I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
