To ask the Minister for Health if the sleep drug melatonin is covered by the long-term illness card scheme; if not, if and when a decision was taken to remove it from the scheme; the reason for that decision and the options that children and others with disabilities have to get the cost of their melatonin covered. The Health Service Executive is responsible for the administration of the primary care schemes, therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
