I have no direct role in relation to allocation of tourism funding for festivals as this is a matter for the board and management of Fáilte Ireland, while funding for programming and content is a matter for the festival promoter and the Arts Council, which falls under the aegis of my colleague the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.  Accordingly I have referred the question to Fáilte Ireland for direct reply in relation to tourism funding.  Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.
