The Deputy will be aware that on 20th March last I announced that 386 schools have been approved funding under the Summer Works Scheme to undertake school improvement works. This first round of funding will allow schools to carry out small and medium scale building works across three categories of projects - Gas, Electrical and Mechanical.
The assessment of applications, under further categories (Categories 5 to 10) on a top down basis in accordance with the prioritisation criteria outlined in the governing Circular Letter for the Scheme, including the application in question, is continuing. It is my intention to publish a list of successful applicants under a second round of the Scheme in the coming weeks.
