634. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the amount the National Driver Licence Service charges to respond to a query from an applicant on the status of an application; who pays for any such charges; the amount the National Driver Licence Service has claimed for such charges since it took over responsibility for the issuing of driver licences; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The operation of the National Driver Licensing Service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority.  I have therefore forwarded the question to the Authority for direct reply.  I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
