201. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if an application has been made to the EU to de-list equines from eligibility for consideration for stocking density purposes for schemes under the rural development programme such as the disadvantaged areas scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There have been no changes to the eligibility requirements under the 2014 Disadvantaged Areas Schemes. Insofar as equines are concerned, these will continue to be eligible for stocking density purposes, provided they satisfy the Scheme requirements as heretofore i.e.
-are appropriately registered and in respect of which the relevant identification documentation has been issued,
- show the animal(s) concerned as being in the ownership of the applicant and have met the breeding enterprise requirement, and
-are from an appropriately registered holding.
