25. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if his attention has been drawn to incidents of property service providers prioritising sales to those customers willing to pay in cash, and the possibility of viewings or consultations being refused to people even though they have mortgage approval; if he will clarify the legalities around owners or property service providers prioritising cash payments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Property Services Regulatory Authority, which was established on 3 April 2012 in accordance with the provisions of the Property Services (Regulation) Act 2011, is responsible for the control and supervision of Property Service Providers (i.e. auctioneers/estate agents, letting agents and management agents) and for ensuring the maintenance, by such providers, of high standards in the provision of property services. I am advised by the Authority that it has not had any incidents of the type referred to by the Deputy brought to its attention.
