44. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he has appointed an information officer, if this person is in charge of developing and implementing data protection in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8745/14]

There is no designated Information officer in my Department. However, all data protection matters are dealt with by a unit within Corporate Services Division.
