567. To ask the Minister for Health the figure for all double transplant patients here over the past ten years; the number of these patients that have received medical cards; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6172/14]

The total number of organ transplants carried out over the last ten years is shown in the table below.

Figures in relation to other double organ transplants are being collated by the HSE's National Organ Donation and Transplantation Office and will be forwarded by that office to the Deputy. The medical card status of transplant recipient patients is not recorded.
