166. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he will outline the most recent discussions he has had with the British Foreign Secretary and with other members of the British Government concerning Britain's continued membership and participation in the European Union; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I meet regularly with my British counterpart, Foreign Secretary Hague, and with other members of the British Government, both bilaterally and at multilateral meetings. I discuss this issue with them on an ongoing basis and continue to outline our strong view that the UK is better off within the European Union and that the Union is stronger by having the UK within it.
