To ask the Minister for Social Protection the number of appeals by reserved fire fighters that had been lodged and were pending prior to the coming into being of current legislation on 10 July 2013 on a county basis; the number of such appeals that have been disposed of to date; the outcome in each case which has been dealt with; the number of such appeals that are outstanding and awaiting a decision by the Social Welfare Appeals Officer; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by the Social Welfare Appeals Office that appeal statistics are not maintained on the basis of occupation and it is therefore not in a position to supply the information sought by the Deputy in relation to reserve fire fighters.
