To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the number of mixed race children in Irish primary and secondary schools, in Irish reform schools and Irish industrial schools between the years of 1950 and 1980; the total number of children in each of these streams of the education provision in Ireland at the time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3084/14]

The Department does not collect information on the race of pupils in education. The following is a link to the historical Annual Statistical Reports which show the number of pupils in Irish primary, secondary, reform and industrial schools in the 1900's
