My Department has not engaged architectural consultants during the period in question. The Office of Public Works provides all required architectural services as regards property occupied by my Department. Finally, the Market Development Programme for Waste Resources, launched in 2009, involved expenditure of €2.7 million in the years concerned in respect of work by a number of firms to assist in the development of sustainable markets and outlets for recyclable materials.
