102. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the reason a school (details supplied) in County Donegal has not been included in the five year building programme in view of the fact that a site has been obtained since November 2012 in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A new school is proposed to meet the long term accommodation needs of the school in question. A site has been acquired for this purpose and a tendering process for the appointment of a project design team has commenced.

The 5 Year Plan, announced in March 2012, prioritises new school building projects as well as major extensions in areas where a demographic need has been established. School building projects, including the project referred to by the Deputy, which have not been included in the five year construction programme, will continue to be progressed to final planning stages in anticipation of the possibility of further funds being available to my Department in the future.
