946. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will confirm if additional charges will be applied to customers of the national driving licence service who presented for testing but were unable to be tested as the NDLS had not issued a learner permit to the same person it had called for testing; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The subject matter of this question, which is the operation of the National Driver Licensing Service, is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority. I have therefore referred the question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
