My Department operates a large telephone switchboard system at its headquarters in Agriculture House, Kildare Street, Dublin 2. Over the past five years, my Department has utilised the services of four personnel, who are supplied by an external telecommunications provider, to operate this primary telephone switchboard. The duties involve answering and transferring calls on the system and the hours of cover provided by the personnel, are from 9am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
