388. To ask the Minister for Social Protection when a decision will issue on a jobseeker's allowance appeal in respect of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1500/14]

I am advised by the Social Welfare Appeals Office that a reply will issue to the person concerned in respect of her appeal within two weeks.

The Social Welfare Appeals Office functions independently of the Minister for Social Protection and of the Department and is responsible for determining appeals against decisions in relation to social welfare entitlements.
