To ask the Minister for Health if he will consider including bowel preparation on the general medical services scheme; his views on whether this will help persons on low incomes afford the potentially life saving preparation ahead of a colonoscopy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The HSE is responsible for the administration of the primary care schemes, therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
