To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources with regard to the new licensing fee which is replacing the television licence, if he will give consideration to allowing some of the additional €30 million, which is anticipated to be collected from the new fee, to be distributed to the independent broadcasters who provide a valuable service to our local communities; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
