To ask the Minister for Health if, in view of the importance of early diagnosis and timely medical intervention for sufferers of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, he will provide resources to appoint specialists in this field in Dublin and Cork because there is currently no dedicated specialist in the field in the State. In relation to the specific query raised by the Deputy regarding the appointment of specialists in Dublin and Cork, as this is a service matter it has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.
