946. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 159 of 19 September 2013, if the statute of limitations applies to the full amount as communicated to the landowner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [46810/13]

As the Statute of Limitations Act 1957 and the Statute of Limitations (Amendment) Act 1991 legislate for debt recovery and related matters, this legislation may apply to some afforestation contract debt cases. It is therefore advisable that the applicant obtain independent legal advice on his particular case.
