The Social Welfare Appeals Office has advised me that a third oral hearing of this appeal has been scheduled for Tuesday, 05^th November 2013. The person concerned has been notified, by registered post, of the arrangements for the hearing.

I understand that payment of supplementary welfare allowance has been re-instated to the person concerned pending the outcome of his jobseeker’s allowance appeal.

The Social Welfare Appeals Office functions independently of the Minister for Social Protection and of the Department and is responsible for determining appeals against decisions in relation to social welfare entitlements.
