The Family Income Supplement (FIS) is designed to provide support for people with families who are on low earnings.

The person concerned applied to have their FIS payment renewed with effect from 12 September 2013. Before their entitlement could be determined a report was sought from the social welfare inspectorate confirming household income and employment status.

Following receipt of the social welfare inspector's report, the renewal application for the person concerned has been processed. Their FIS payment has been renewed in respect of family of 4 children, at the weekly rate of €325 with effect from 12 September 2013.

Payment of FIS will be made to the nominated bank account of the person concerned for 52 weeks up to 10 September 2014, provided they remain in employment at a minimum level of 38 hours per fortnight.
