To date, a total of eighteen age-related retirements have taken place in 2013 in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. A further eight officers will retire by the end of 2013 i.e. six age-related retirements and two under the cost neutral Early Retirement Scheme. A total of fourteen officers are scheduled to retire in 2014, on reaching mandatory retirement age. No officer has so far submitted notice of an intention to retire under the cost neutral Early Retirement Scheme in 2014. There is no targeted redundancy scheme in place in my Department.
