I propose to take Questions Nos. 177 and 178 together.

The Steering Committee on Mortgage Arrears was put in place shortly after the publication of the Keane Report on Mortgage Arrears to oversee the implementation of the Report’s recommendations, as approved by Government, to address the mortgage arrears problem, together with the implementation of subsequent Government approved measures in this broad policy area. The Group is chaired by the Department of Finance and also comprises the Departments of Justice and Equality, Environment and Local Government, Social Protection, An Taoiseach and Public Expenditure and Reform. In addition, the Central Bank of Ireland, and, following its establishment, the Insolvency Service of Ireland are also members. Since its establishment, the Group has met on 30 occasions.
