568. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his attention has been drawn to the need for the section of the River Suir along the quays at Waterford city to be dredged; if he will ensure that funding for the dredging project will be made available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been advised by the Port of Waterford Company that it is satisfied that the depth of water available at all its operational berths is currently sufficient.

There is no Exchequer funding available to any State commercial port company, all activities must be funded from within a company's own resources.
