There are three contracts included in the Water Services Investment Programme 2010 – 2013 for the Cork City Sewerage Scheme. The Carrigrennan Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Contract is included as a scheme to advance through planning during the life of the programme. In November 2012 my Department approved Cork City’s Design Brief for the appointment of a Consultant to prepare a Preliminary Report for the Scheme. I understand that the Council expects to appoint a consultant shortly.

Following a mid-term review of the programme in 2011 two further Cork City Sewerage Scheme contracts were added to the programme on foot of a submission from Cork City Council; Cork City Sewerage Scheme , St. Patrick’s Street Culvert Contract/Scheme and Cork City Sewerage Scheme , Collection Network Contract /Scheme . My Department is awaiting the submission by Cork City Council of Design Briefs for the appointment of Consultants to prepare Preliminary Reports for these Contracts/ Schemes.
