To ask the Minister for Finance if he will provide figures on the amount it would cost the Exchequer to designate a two week tax holiday whereby citizens would not pay PAYE in the month of December to facilitate Christmas spending; if he will provide estimates on the potential boost to the economy as a result of this proposal; if he will consider this measure in the context of Budget 2014; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
