To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the present gender balance of the total members of State boards under the aegis of his Department; if the ratio has changed significantly over the course of the present Government's term; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The current gender balance of the Boards of the State Agencies under my remit is as set out in the following table:

Since taking office, I have appointed 6 women and reappointed 3 to those positions under my direct control. Whenever I make an appointment, gender balance is always a consideration and a priority.
