The details requested in respect of the annual saving to the Exchequer of 1%, 5%, 7%, 10%, 12%, 15%, 17% and 20% reduction to travel and expenses for my Department are outlined in the following table. These figures are based on Travel & Subsistence paid to Civil Servants in my Department in 2012.

I have not appointed any special advisers in my role as Minister for Defence. I have engaged the services of a personal assistant who assists me in constituency matters. The annual salary attached to this post is €56,060.
