Enterprise Ireland’s mission is to partner with entrepreneurs, Irish businesses, and the research and investment communities to develop Ireland’s international trade, innovation, leadership, and competitiveness. The ultimate objective is increased employment and prosperity in Ireland. The companies that Enterprise Ireland works with are a vital source of employment in every county in Ireland.

Grant payments made available to EI supported client companies in Limerick in 2012 and year to date 2013 is outlined in Table 1 below. Employment data for Enterprise Ireland is collected annually as part of the Forfás Annual Employment Survey. Employment figures for 2013 will be available when the Survey is completed in Q4. The number of full-time jobs created by Enterprise Ireland’s client companies in Limerick in 2012 was 684.
