The individuals referred to currently have visa applications under consideration. Five of the visa applications were received in the Visa Office, Abuja on the 8 July 2013, the remainder on 1 July 2013. Cases of this type are dealt with in chronological order and an examination of the applications referred to will take place in due course. The actual processing time for dealing with such applications can vary depending on the particular circumstances of each individual case and the type of investigation required.

Queries in relation to general immigration matters may be made directly to INIS by e-mail using the Oireachtas Mail facility which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Questions process. The Deputy may consider using the e-mail service except in cases where the response from INIS is, in the Deputy's view, inadequate or too long awaited.
