In accordance with section 4 of the Law Reform Commission Act 1975, the Law Reform Commission has been preparing its proposed Fourth Programme of Law Reform. As part of that Programme it proposes to deal with disclosure and discovery in criminal cases generally and this would include, for example, access by the accused to the therapeutic records in sexual offence cases. I am sure the Commission will give this project appropriate priority in the context of the various projects in the Programme.
