174. The Capital Works Management Framework requires that bonds are in place for all public works contracts in excess of €500,000. My Department requires Contracting Authorities to comply with this requirement. However, detailed information relating to the bond in place for individual contracts is not available in my Department as this is a matter between the parties to the contract and not one in which my Department has any direct role.
