218. To ask the Minister for Finance if it is the practice of all Irish banks to make recordings of internal land line phone calls; and if these recordings are kept within the banks or are provided to the Central Bank of Ireland. [31763/13]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 218 and 219 together.
I have been advised by the Central Bank that they do not require Banks to record calls. As such the Central Bank does not require any recordings to be made available to it.
